From the recording Olivia
"Olivia" is a song dedicated to the little girl from Scotland, Olivia, which struggles -at the age of only 6 years- with the "Short Internal Organs Syndrome", a very rare infliction. She is an adorable little creature, full of optimism and love, joy and a tremendous will to live her life as she wants to, and be part of this world in her very own terms. She is a huge fan of the Bee Gees and she's an avid kid TV programs viewer.
The song will be part of a CD collection, specially dedicated to her, a charity edition. All money from that CD collection will go straight to her health improvement fund, and I urge you to support this cause, when it eventually comes to life. All money from any possible purchase of the song will be redirected to Olivia's fundraising cause, so if you have it, then give it a go! ;-)
Artists also contributing are: Tim McGeary (USA), Jessie's Well (SCOT), Sandy Stewart (SCOT), Michael Collinson (ENG), Amber Crowley (USA) and many more, totalling a staggering 14 artists altogether.
Special thanks to Murray MacIntosh for his organising all this, Tim McGeary for his technical advisory, and all the fine artists from Giving Gigs Jam Fam (@Giving Gigs on Facebook) and Mike Manley (@MikeManley) for his being the leader at uniting worldwide musicians on a single virtual stage.
I wanna see you smile
I wanna see you happy
Running through the garden of your golden light
Just take the world in your pretty hands, yeah!
Always look at the sun, girl
And make it shine even brighter
over every child in the world
We only get so much better
And Barry Gibb is your favourite
singing "baby, boop, bop-a-hop"
Sing it, sing it, sing it really loud, come on
Sing it, sing it, till the morning sun comes up
Sing it, sing it, put your hands up in the air
Sing it, sing it, till the morning sun is up
